Important limitations
- JPEG, WebP and AVIF are lossy formats — smaller files trade off some detail. This is not zero-loss compression.
- PNG (lossless) may shrink less than lossy formats for photographic images.
Privacy & your files
Your files are processed on Zegi's own servers — never sent to a third-party AI service — and are removed automatically after processing. See our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy for details.

- Is compression lossless?
- PNG is lossless; JPEG, WebP and AVIF are lossy, so they reduce size by discarding some detail. Use a higher quality setting or PNG when fidelity matters most.
- Can I compress many images at once?
- Yes — upload several images and download them together as a ZIP.
- Which format should I choose?
- Auto picks an efficient modern format for you. WebP and AVIF usually give the smallest files; keep PNG when you need transparency or lossless quality.
